Honesty, Ethics, a great sense of humor, zest for life, love for my family and friends mirror my dedication to my profession as a Real Estate Broker.  If you are buying or selling a home and need an agent to help make your experience less stressful, more exciting, and fun, you should give me a call.

I have been with Pointer and Associates Real Estate DBA, Prudential Pointer & Associates Real Estate for 25 years.  I have consistently been in the top listing and selling agents, owe my success to the fact I love my job, and enjoy meeting new people. It is an honor to show my clients all the homes and properties that they are considering, introduce new properties that they may have missed, and just let things flow naturally from there.  My mission is to provide the finest real estate service available based on the highest standard of ethics, values, and customer satisfaction.

I was born and raised in Roxboro/Person County.  I have been married to my husband Danny for 37years. We have 2 daughters and son in laws, 12 year old grandson, and 9 year old granddaughter. I am a member of the Allensville United Methodist Church in the Allensville Community and enjoy singing with the choir and admiring the beauty of the rock church that my grandfather and father help to build.

I would like to “Thank You” for visiting my website today.  If you are looking for a Realtor, I would love the opportunity to assist you. Remember...Housing is a good value, a good investment, a necessary shelter, a place to call home and has significant tax advantages.

It is my goal as your full service real estate agent specializing in the Roxboro, Rougemont, Timberlake, Person County, Caswell County, Hyco and Mayo Lake areas, to provide you with superior service at all times. My local expertise and extensive real estate experience will benefit you whether you are serious about buying or selling a home at this time, or are a returning client checking out the many homeowner resources I offer.

Buying a home? I look forward to helping you select the home of your dreams by taking time to listen to your needs and desires.

Selling a home? My real estate expertise and many effective marketing programs will give you the exposure and edge you need to sell your home quickly for top dollar.

Returning Client? I appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve you and hope you take advantage of the valuable resources I provide. Come back to visit often!

I consider this community an excellent place to reside and would love to share with you my enthusiasm for the many neighborhoods that encompass it. I pride myself on providing unparalleled service and look forward to developing a long-term relationship with you. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss how I can best assist you with your real estate needs.

Sincerely,

Amelia Hicks

Why Person County?

Here, the pace slows to allow for all the small pleasure of life, where rush hours turn into rush minutes, the sky is referred to as "Carolina Blue", and uptown Roxboro retains the ambiance of small town living.

Person County was formed in 1791 by dividing Caswell County into two precise squares. Before the Civil War, Person County was a well established plantation center where early farming consisted of tobacco, corn, cotton, oats, wheat, fruit, vegetables, cattle, hogs and sheep.  There are still farmers in the county that are producing some of these crops and livestock.

Person County has seen many changes over the years in the economic and social ways of life.  From agriculture to industry we have been a well balanced community.  We welcome new citizens and industries to our area.

Location: North of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Bordered by Durham, Orange, Granville, Caswell Counties and the state of Virginia. Generally 2 hours from the Virginia Mountains/Blue Ridge Parkway and 4 to 5 hours from the North Carolina Coast.

If you are considering real estate or relocating, please keep PERSON COUNTY in mind. You will definately enjoy the rural scenery, nice subdivisions, warm small town hospitality and lower tax rate.  I have lived in Person County all my life and still enjoy coming to work every morning to the sight of cattle grazing, round bales of hay in open fields, ponds, flower and vegetable gardens growing, neighbors waving, all of which never failes to lift my heart and spirits.

No matter what type of property you are looking for, whether it is a water property, single family home, farm or golf property, I can help you. I have been successful in the Person County market because I put your needs first. Talk to me and let me know what your perfect home would look like.  It will be my pleasure to help you find it.
